Denim For Pleasure

‘Denim For Pleasure’ is an AW15/16 work wear collection that is a proposed collaboration with Levi. DFP is the rebirth of denim and sets out to connect with the new cosmopolitan / 21st century working female consumer, through erogenous zones and new silhouettes. Bringing back the look of the nineties’ Malcolm McLaren’s ‘Buffalo gals’ – oversized androgyny which is then layered up, belted and tied together with loose reference to 1970’s punk movement, bondage & sexuality.

The collection is in support of the new feminist movement. It is designed to allow the young women of today to express themselves through fashion within the workplace, whilst getting that perfect balance of sexuality and professionalism.

Fabrics and colour are inspired by architectural and hard surfaces.

The collection combines luxury cottons, leather and twills with denim.  Clever pattern cutting creates a silhouette that allows the fabrics to flow, be attached together and cinched into the female figure to enhance sex appeal and represent a new sense of femininity.
