How to See What Isn’t There

How to See What Isn’t There. A collection based on a zero-waste concept, taking influence from the Zero Art Movement. Zero is based around the notion of a ‘zone of silence and of pure possibilities for a new beginning.’ The collective predominantly used performance as a form of expression, leading to the idea of creating a luxury range that forms emotions through experience and time with a product.

The collection explores how a zero-waste approach to pattern cutting and sustainable design practices can lead to sophisticated and crafted design, whilst eradicating the ‘hippie’ stigma of sustainable clothing. By using a circular economy marketing strategy and a zero-waste principle, the collection explores ways in which a fashion brand can reduce waste in a sophisticated manner.
